The Department of Chemistry at the University of Jordan was honored to organize the 1^st Jordanian Chemistry Conference in cooperation with the Jordanian Chemical Society (JCS) in 1993. Since then, chemists in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, supported by JCS held this conference periodically, and was organized by the various Jordanian public and private universities.

Now, after more than twenty years, the Department of Chemistry at the University of Jordan will organize the conference in its 16^th edition to coincide with more than five decades of Chemistry in Jordan, to be a scientific and an academic gathering for researchers in various disciplines to present the results of their research, studies and experience in the conference sessions. With a special focus on relating the research outcomes with various industrial sectors. Seeking excellence, innovation and competitiveness in different disciplines.
