The upcoming conference "Climate Change and Health in the Arab Region: Advancing Regional Interdisciplinary Collaborations" is a significant event co-hosted by two prominent NIH-funded centers: the GeoHealth Hub on Climate Change and Health in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and the Global Center for Climate, Water, Energy, and Food Nexus (GC3WEFH). This international event is scheduled to take place on July 7–8, 2025 in Amman Jordan, and will be conducted in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person and virtual participation.

The conference is designed to address critical issues at the intersection of climate change and health, with a specific focus on the Arab region. It aims to foster regional interdisciplinary collaborations, enabling researchers, policymakers, and practitioners to explore and implement innovative solutions for climate adaptation and health challenges. With funding support from NIH and other global partners, the event is poised to be a platform for knowledge exchange, policy development, and capacity building.
